Beijing: BYO Hard Hat
While returning from a crazy night of Sheryl Crow and regulated explosives, we passed by everyone’s favorite on-campus Chinese eatery this past Saturday. To our surprise (and temporary panic), the windows were masked in sheets of tarp.
Fearing that yet another campus staple had been Izzy-and-Zoe’d, we looked to the tell-tale paper sign on the door, which read (to our relief): We will be closing on Saturday and Sunday for renovation. Re-open on Monday. -Beijing Restaurant. A peek inside told otherwise: the “renovation” looked a bit more intense than a two-day project.
While we haven’t returned this week to investigate further, we can’t wait to see what changes Beijing’s got in store… let’s just hope they’ve kept the perfect-for-people-watching window booths for when Fling rolls around. See for yourself:

this is some fine investigative reporting. utb: it goes there. also plus one for use of “izzy-and-zoe’d” as verb.

Only Beijing would manage to renovate in two days. They also manage to cook chicken in two minutes. I find this speediness to be somewhat suspect.

I walked by today, to my untrained eye it looks exactly the same. curious.
