A Lot Of Screaming Freshmen And Some Naked Ones Too

Over the weekend we swung by the Palestra for “The Line,” hoping to get a first-hand look at a glorious and well-attended Penn tradition. Instead, it was really creepy and empty! Despite a brief chat with Coach Glen Miller about his trip to Smokes and Blarney that night, and an extended discussion with a security guard about Gameboys and Green Day, we did not have fun. We were feeling so sad about it that we had to stop by the Quad last night for the Econ Scream, just to make sure that school spirit hadn’t died.
Once again we were surprised, but this time it was pleasantly! The turnout was massive, there was a banner, a DJ played an assortment of boy band favorites, the screaming was loud, and, as final proof that the tradition is still alive, a whole bunch of boys and girls streaked through the crowd wearing giraffe masks.
Check out some naked people who will probably do pretty poorly on the econ midterm after the jump.

(Oh hey look up on that bench! It’s all of those candidates we helped get elected out of the goodness of our own hearts!)

at least some of the streakers are in SAE, and therefore, not pre-midterm freshman but probably drunk upperclassmen.
