We Tweeted, And So Did The Westboro Baptists

Thx 4 the photo Meg.
However you may feel about the Westboro Baptist Church, folks ain’t technologically challenged. While you were busy live-tweeting and snapping photos outside Hillel, guess what the protesters were doing? THE SAME DAMN THING.
Thanks to an @ mention we received from WBC protester @meganphelps (how they found us, we do not know), we present: protest tweeting, live from the other side.
Megan Phelps tweeted throughout the event:
“Pics from the other side of the UPenn Hillel picket! Thx @HebrUPenn @underthebutton ! http://twitpic.com/sjs11 http://twitpic.com/sjs13″
And our personal favorite:
“Madre just spoke w. a woman from UPenn paper; we’ll see how well Ivy League schools teach journalists to be unbiased. Not holding my breath!“
Oh, we are glad to be held to such a high standard.

Eww, she said madre. Fundamentalist protesters trying to be cool on the Internet is the worst.
good to know that when the apocalypse comes, the WBC will be tweeting “I told you so” to the rest of the us.
this is the way the world ends: not with a bang, but with a twitter.
Just watched the NBC local news at 10pm… Mentioned WBC picketing Cherry Hill High School and a hotel in Pennsylvania having a Jewish event, but no mention of Penn.
I found out @meganphelps is fluent in Spanish. The girl has so many words, it’s not surprising that some of them that fall out of her head are Spanish.
