And The Banners Are Live
We’ve just received a rush of photos to kickstart the great Fling performer hunt, so here they are. The first is an “I” outside Skulls, sent in by Matthew Sternberg. After the jump, two “D’s,” a “C,” a “K,” and “I” and a “U.”
A “D” outside Hill House sent in by Bridget Ercole.
Another “D” outside DRL sent in by Veronica Casellas.
A “C” on the Hub Bub truck (hey Drew!) sent in by Adam Ramada.
A “K” under the button (<3) from Charles Dennis.
An “I” at the Radian thanks to Melissa Schall.
And, finally….
The “U” courtesy of Lisa Jacknis and Charlotte Crowley! Stay tuned for what it spells (…if you can’t figure it out)!

Kid Cudi?
If the main act is Kid Rock, I am going to be laughing in pain all the way until Fling starts.
It’s Kid Cudi
Kid Cudi?
Diddy?
there’s a C on the Hubbub truck!
There is a C hanging off one of the food carts that you can view from the bridge by Commons.
kid rock would suck hardcore… no one even listens to him anymore
Two D’s, an I, a C, and a K?
Kid Cudi would suck even worse, imo…
Penn is paying thousands of our tuition dollars for a one-hit wonder
going to be the tworst
I think it’s “I’D DUCK” and SPEC is just screwing with all of you! The next round will spell out something like “THINK FAST” or “LOSER SAYS WHAT.”
DICKD!
“Two D’s, an I, a C, and a K?”
hahahaha!
And gees, could these graffiti letters look sadder?
@Waiting, do you actually care what the letters look like? It’s probably better that SPEC spent more money on the artists than on the signs…
where’s the u?!
Kid Cudi isn’t a one hit wonder. Just because every song of his isnt on the Ryan Seacrest Top 40….gunna be better than last year
KIIIDDD CUDDDIIIIIII :)
Whoever said he was just a one-hit wonder, he actually has a lot of good songs… day n nite, pursuit of happiness, soundtrack 2 my life, alive (basically the Man on the Moon album)
@Lauren: Money has nothing to do with it, time and talent maybe, but the cost of spray paint is the same whether you make it look good or not. So per your argument, they actually wasted good spray paint (read: money) by making sad letters. Instead they could’ve spent that money on Kid Cudi’s ridiculous rider.
I’m curious what people think of Kid Cudi being selected. I am not very familiar with his music. I’ve heard one of his own songs and another that he’s “featured” in.
Also- is there another person doing part of the concert?
@manonthemoon I completely agree!!! his last album is ridiculously good– if you want to hear an excellent song of his, youtube “enter galactic”. fling is gonna be soooooo good
who wants to go to coachella instead? fuck this.
Cudi’s got a lot of good music out…. His album, mixtapes, features. Y’all need to wake up and start thinking outside of iTunes top 10. Real talk.
kid cudi is obviously a good choice imo. one hit wonder? are you joking?
And the best part about it: He’s only the opener!
rollin rollin rollin i aint slept in weeks
How about the Day N’ Nite Rusko’s Big Trombone Remix… Mmmmm mmmm good.
Damn! We almost had this one!
very excited about kid cudi. quality music. also, this probably means that the headliner won’t be a rap act, what with the u wanting to incorporate a diversity of genres. just hope it’s something good (i.e. not killers, kings of leon, coldplay)
I’m so getting laid if I take the person who I think I am taking says yes……
