Bringing West Philly to the Streets of New York
If you thought the artwork on your SEPTA ride was cool, check this out! The NYC graffiti team SMART CREW recently shot us an email about their Ivy League tribute mural in Queens, NY.
Each schools’ piece was painted by an actual alum from that college, and despite their obvious school pride, these folks wish to remain anonymous. All we could snoop out is that Penn’s artist is a Brooklyn native who goes by TOPER, or TOPA, and has been “an active NYC graffiti artist since the 90′s.” (If you’ve mastered the art of graffiti reading, you’ve realized that the Penn artwork actually says TOPER. No worries if you didn’t see it—even we had to ask.)

Coolest: Princeton/Dartmouth. Least cool: Columbia/Yale
UTB, I love you for posting over break, you mitigate my Penn-sickness. And Penn mural FTW.
