Windemere Apartments On Walnut Is On Fire
There is currently a huge fire at the Windemere Court Apartments at 48th and Walnut, which is the source of all the smoke you may be seeing. We don’t have any information on the efforts to contain it (other than having seen quite a few fire trucks) but as of now we don’t think this poses a threat to campus. More pictures after the jump.
Update: Mayor Michael Nutter is on his way to the scene now. Sources say the fire appears to be getting worse as the sun goes down.

This last one, from James Sadler, is strangely beautiful, eh?

It reminds me a bit of what the MOVE fire looked like in May 1985.
