CUPCAKES

My, how New York trendy Philly is becoming. First it was rumors of a Pinkberry (oh well, A for effort?), then we found out Shake Shack was actually taking up shop. Now, as if we weren’t spoiled enough, it’s just been announced that we’ll be hopping on the Crumbs cupcake train! Here’s the best part: while they’re scoping out Center City for their first post here, “the chain is also is looking into real estate in University City.”

This is great news for our area, given the current cupcake options. Compared to that, $3.75 a pop doesn’t even seem so bad.

Don’t forget about the cup cake truck! SO GOOD and it’s always in a different spot so you’re totally cool if you know where it is.

Anyone from NY will know that Crumbs is easily the worst of the three mini-chains we have. Magnolia’s cupcakes are good, those from Billy’s are better, and Crumbs’ are just oversized, dry specimens with lots of bells and whistles.

Now if we could get a Levain Bakery to open in West Philly, *that* would be an achievement,
