ShutterButton: Martha Stewart’s Nightmare
Check out this gem from the 1960s, courtesy of the Digital Archives. We’re using the word “gem” as loosely as possible here, becauseĀ just look at this room. Just look at it! The red vinyl curtains. Those wine bottles. The Confederate flags. The PANDA? (Okay, we like the panda.) This dorm room was part of Sergeant Hall, which was built in 1900 and demolished 75 years later. FUN FACT: Sergeant Hall was on 34th St. and housed the original DP offices. Which is why 34th Street Magazine is so called!
