If Power Down Challenge (or OCR) didn’t quite spark your competitive spirit, here’s your shot– and you might do some good in the process. The Year of Games presents RecycleMania, an eight-week contest that pits Penn against 600 other universities nationwide. Today, our campus begins a mass effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle 32% of all waste. So bring in your books, batteries and beer bottles and let the games begin!
We’re personally celebrating RecycleMania by cutting production on the print version of Under the Button. Teehee, joking! Because we’re a blog. In any case, follow the contest for frequent updates.

It isn’t brought to us by the Year of Games; it’s brought to us by the Penn Green Campus Partnership thingy…. it’s a nationwide contest (we’re competing against the Ivies… Harvard beat us last year).
The Penn Recyclemania website is nicer than the actual national Recyclemania website.
