Sister, Sister (Ray Slam)

Do you like art? Do you like ice cream? Do you like music? If you answered, “YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” to any or all of the above, you should definitely stop by Sister Ray Slam at the Institute of Contemporary Art (36th and Sansom) tonight from 8 until 11 p.m. Did we mention that it’s all free?

Yep, the ICA will host four (4!) live bands, screen some awesome movies and present their ongoing Warhol exhibition, “That’s How We Escaped.” How could you ever say no to this? You can’t! And what else are you doing tonight that’s better than this? Nothing! Right– so stop by later!

Penn Libraries “Heat” Things Up

Anticipating a lonely Valentine’s Day tomorrow? Penn Libraries have got you covered.

Among the typical new acquisitions in the Video Catalog, one eager tipster also found this, Heat–Andy Warhol’s 1972 erotic film about a once-upon-a-time child actor looking to get his career back on track…by means of casual sex. Something like that. We haven’t actually seen it. OK, fine. But it was a long time ago, and the plot’s all hazy now.

Instead of wasting time wondering which course could possibly be watching this timeless classic, head on over to the library website and place a hold on this baby! Because–shocker–it’s already checked out!
