We asked, and you sent! Yup, spring is well upon us, and luckily for the Penn community, some of you have a good eye for spotting how beautiful campus is at this time of year. We’ve highlighted just a sampling of our favorites (choosing was very hard, mind you) so you can enjoy them as much as we do.
If you’d like us to feature your lovely spring photos, tweet your pics at us throughout the day and we’ll retweet you. In the meantime, put away your phone and stop looking at your feet on your walk to class– you’re missing more than you know!
Campus is buzzing with the sounds and smells of Spring and it is b-e-a-utiful outside! Look at this vintage pic from March 1989. Look at it! Pretty snazzy, right? If you’d like to get in on the pretty pic action, send us your best photos of Spring on campus and we’ll post our favorites later in the week, like last semester. Got it? Cool. You could be a star!
Since you’re probably sitting at your house becoming a World Wide Web explorer, here’s a video to get you good and jealous. Ex-financial strategist and current photographer Kien Lam, a College Wharton alum who graduated in 2005, backpacked around the world for a year and compiled his pictures into the ultimate “miss u lotz but i’m in egypt” postcard. Enjoy the classical music and Locust Walk action at 3:05.
November is Philadelphia’s most beautiful month. This is a fact. There’s so little light these days that seeing the sunset (this one, taken around 5) is especially striking. It seems unfair to post this image when the real thing was so beautiful, but we’ll let it serve as reminder of what’s waiting for you when you get back from Thanksgiving break.
Are we getting mushy on you (again)? Yes. Do we sometimes forget how lovely West Philadelphia can be? Probably. Got any more nice fall pics? Send them our way.
