Hey Day is almost upon us, and with it comes the Final Toast. Instead of triumphantly parading down Locust, seniors will have the advantage of looking on from the Green while luxuriating in a bunch of free swag. After you sign this pledge to not engage in hazing and other bad behaviors (seriously, do it), you’ll have access to a smorgasbord of food and drink. Food trucks are going to be posted up all over the place, so save room for free food from Magic Carpet, Guapos Tacos, and Sugar Philly – also, there will be free beer.
The Final Toast will be held on College Green on Wednesday, April 27th, rain or shine.
Once upon a time, in a far off land known as freshman year, we used to pour over our @sas inboxes like there was no tomorrow. Every Penn email we received was scrutinized down to the last detail. Then, around the same time we realized the UA wasn’t for us and we weren’t destined to be Slavic majors, our delete button started lookin’ better and better. And now, four years later, we find ourselves getting emails saying “please confirm you are NOT ATTENDING graduation.” Woops!
But there are still some things worth reading emails for, and this Friday’s Hey Day is one them. So, seniors, don’t let your empty trash folder get you down – we’re here to make sure you’re in on the fun.
BEFORE FRIDAY make sure you sign the Hey Day Pledge so you may attend the Final Toast.
FRIDAY, 12-4 pm Final Toast @ College Green and Sweeten Alum Class of 1976 Terrace (Enter at the Button). Festivities include free beer and “gourmet food”, surprise giveaways, DJ, and performances by Sex Panther and Sammy Band.
FRIDAY, 4-7 pm Final Toast Afterparties @ Smokes and Blarney. Drink specials included if you bring your surprise giveaways from the Final Toast.
Juniors, as well as underclassmen who may care, look out for a post on Class of 2011 deets.
On Friday April 24 – as part of Hey Day 2009 – the Class of 2009 gathered on College Green to toast the Juniors in a new (although this one could join its ranks next year) tradition.
