DJ Lubel Strikes Again, With His OC Friends
Some of our more loyal readers might remember the work of DJ Lubel, C’05. His ode to Murray Hill (the post-collegiate destination of many a douchebag) established him as an alumnus to watch, and it looks like he’s really taken the Weird-Al-minus-the-pop-song-source-material act to a whole new level. The artfully produced “Masturbate For Life” features some pretty great looking credits, and ties in to his new album, “It’s About To Get Awkward,” which draws heavily on Lubel’s sexual misadventures for inspiration. That said, the content of his single is fairly gross and the main joke treads some painfully well-worn territory (masturbating in high school? Say it ain’t so!). This hasn’t prevented the video from earning a 78% “Funny” rating, though, so kudos! Also, major points for featuring Luke from The OC.
And even though this is months late, we much prefer his collaboration with the cast of Jersey Shore. Genius at work, that.
