Wharton Prof Nerdier Than Average Prof

This week Philly Weekly profiled legal studies professor Kevin Werbach. Among his many impressive labels — Harvard Law grad, Obama adviser, tech firm founder — one stands as nerdier than the rest: World of Warcraft impresario.

So in addition to teaching "Law of E-Commerce," he is a level 80, Shaman class, potion-making Tauran named Supernova Jenkins. We don't know what that means either, but it sounds like Werbach would enjoy getting to know some Penngineers.

Fellow legal studies prof David Zaring is quoted in the article as saying "playing Warcraft is an 'atypical hobby' in the UPenn community. Then again Werbach is Wharton’s 'cyber-guru' and thus, 'it makes sense that he would be in a massively multiplayer game and an expert at it.'" Read: "Yeah, he's a huge nerd.
