Let Street Tell You What Movies To See Over Fall Break

wild-things

Although Penn made the questionable decision to shorten fall break to three days this year, it's still the perfect time to catch up on sleep, cram for midterms, or if you're like us, see a movie. Or five. To help you figure out exactly what to see this weekend, 34th Street has picked out the cream of the October movie slump crop. Check out all the recommendations, plus an interview with a Gossip Girl castmember and Penn namesake, after the jump.

Where the Wild Things Are

Just like all of you and Street's former film editors, we've been eagerly awaiting Spike Jonze's long-delayed adaptation of one of our favorite books ever. Thankfully, it was worth the wait.

A Serious Man

The Coen Brothers' latest is about a guy whose life really sucks, and it's funny. So, if you feel bad about your own situation, check this one out and laugh at someone else's misery. We promise it will make you feel better.

More Than a Game

Some of us are super excited for the start of the NBA season in less than two weeks, and this documentary chronicling LeBron James' last year of high school does just enough to whet our appetites.

New York, I Love You

Let's face it, there are a lot of New Yorkers here at Penn, and we certainly hear about how much they love New York. This collection of shorts highlighting the Big Apple helps us see where they're coming from.

Antichrist

The latest from the legendary Lars Von Trier follows a couple living alone in the woods after their child dies. Part bizarre, part creepy, all completely innovative.

BONUS: An Interview With Penn Badgley

As if all those great reviews weren't enough, Street recently chatted with Dan from Gossip Girl about his new movie The Stepfather, in which he has to defend his family from, you guessed it, his psycho stepfather.
