What The UA Referendum Means For You

So, the Undergraduate Assembly passed two referenda. UA Chairman (a position that no longer exists thanks to this new legislation, BTW) explained in an email, "This means that the UA will, effective next academic year, be led by a President and Vice-President elected in the Spring from the entire student body, while the UA General Body will elect a Speaker to chair its meetings and manage its internal operations." There are some other minor changes to the Constitution, which you can read about online should this kind of thing interest you.
For those of you who don't speak student government or are too lazy to read your email, let UTB break it down for you. If you're wondering, "Cool, but who cares?" allow us to tell you how this is going to affect your life:
There is going to be a big election in the Spring, and all the candidates are going to want your vote. We can see it already. The posters. The Facebook groups. The videos. Seriously, the videos. It's going to the best election EVER. And you better bet WE CAN'T WAIT.
