Calling All Seniors

smokeyjoes

Being a second semester senior is a confusing time. We want to kick back and enjoy our last semester at Penn, but there's still all this stuff looming above our heads. Stuff like classes, extracurriculars, our inevitable entry into the real world. And to top it off, it doesn't help that Penn makes it sound like everyone else has it together besides us.

But despite how stress-inducing Penn can be, for one month over the course of your four year stay it likes to say, "Hey. Take a load off. Get drunk." That month is almost here. Feb Club officially kicks off next Monday at Smokes. (A full calendar of events can be found here). And as per an extensive email from Senior Class prez Arthur Gardner Smith, there's a bit of preparation needed if you want to participate. Read the deets after the jump.

Feb Club begins next Monday!

Stop by The Office of Student Life on the 2nd Floor of Houston Hall this Thursday and Friday from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM to pick up your Feb Club Card.  This card will document your participation for all Feb Club Events.  Bring Your Penn Card. Representatives from Seniors for The Penn Fund will also be there to collect participation forms, or you can make your donation online by clicking here. IF YOU CANNOT PICK UP YOUR OWN FEB CLUB CARD, HAVE A FRIEND PICK UP FOR YOU.

Here is how it works: The Feb Club event calendar and all event information will be posted on http://penn10.org/index.php?page=febclub.  Likewise, every week you will receive an email update and a list of that week’s events.  Each event that you attend entitles you to 1 stamp on your Feb Club Card, and those that receive the most stamps are eligible for distinctive prizes (see below for Feb Club Card and Prize information).

What do I get outta this? (Prize Breakdown)

  • February, What? (0-6 Stamps): No prize
  • Yes, I Am a Senior (7-10 Stamps): Entered into a raffle worth hundreds of dollars in gift certificates
  • Living It Up (11-16 Stamps): Class of 2010 Bottle Opener; One entry into the raffle
  • Party Animal (17-22 Stamps): Penn 10 Bottle Opener; Shot Glass; One entry into the raffle
  • Heatin' Up (23-27 Stamps): Class of 2010 Flask; Bottle Opener; Shot Glass; One entry into the raffle
  • Penn '10 Pride (28 Stamps): Name engraved on a plaque in Smokes; Flask; Bottle Opener; Shot Glass, One entry into the raffle
Look near the entrance of each event for members of the 2010 Class Board wearing RED to stamp your card. Each stamp you attain helps you win more prizes… the Grand Prize includes your name being enshrined in glory on the Feb Club plaque in Smokes. All prizes will be distributed during Seniors Week in May.

What if I cannot participate?

Please keep in mind that while most of the events are subsidized, offer drink and food specials, and do not have a cover charge, all normal costs associated with going to an event—including entrance fee, transportation, purchases at a venue, etc.—are paid for by the individual. If you are under 21 or impeded from participating on certain days because of religious observance please contact the Feb Club Guru at FebClub2010@gmail.com and explain your situation in detail BEFORE 5pm on Friday, January 30.

We want to see all of you there!
