Penn Museum = Times Square

Time to bust out your inappropriately-sparkly dresses again, guys, it's the New Year: Chinese-style! As far as campus is concerned, the Penn Museum is Times Square for all of your celebratory needs. According to the Penn Almanac, we can "Roar into the New Year with the power and courage of a Tiger!" Who knew it was also the year of the Pun?
If you're on the prowl for activities (okay, we'll stop), it all goes down Saturday, January 23rd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Museum will offer various performances, workshops, and food, including everything from Tai Chi to calligraphy to vegetable-carving with Chef Joe Poon. And for those that have been plagued by evil spirits for the last year, don't worry-- you can totally made a traditional paper tiger hat to ward off those suckers.
If the Penn Museum isn't enough to quench your fiesta thirst, you can also check out the New Year festivities all over Philly. Apparently the ball doesn't drop until February 14th, so you've got tons of time to unleash your inner Tiger. Just preferably not that Tiger.
