SAS To Turn Out The Lights

Get out your candlesticks, everyone, SAS is getting so totally blackout on Sunday. The School of Arts and Crafts Sciences has announced a "Scheduled Campus Power Outage" on Sunday, January 10 from midnight to noon. This maintenance fix will mean .sas email accounts will be down, as will sas.upenn.edu. Our advice? Sleep late. The email in full, after the jump.

Dear SAS Students, Faculty, and Staff,

On Sunday, January 10, 2010 from 12:01AM - 12 noon, critical maintenance will be performed on electrical systems in several buildings on campus. During this time, many SAS IT Services will be unavailable.

The following SAS services will be unavailable during this power outage:

* SAS Email (Facstaff, Mail.sas, Webmail, and mail forwarding to Penn Live and all external email providers)

* SAS Web Services (including www.sas.upenn.edu and most other sites hosted on central SAS servers)

* SAS Central File Servers (home directories and shared drives for many departments)

* SAS Calendar Services (Meeting Maker)

* SAS Print Server (network printers for some departments)
