Everyone At The UA Is Freaking Out

In yet another example of the UA thinking it is far more important than it actually is, drama erupted last night at the speaker elections. We usually veer away from covering UA meetings, but when we read, "Webley stormed out, tore up the voting sheet and threw a resignation letter at Melendez-Torres," we continued reading.

Webley, the former UA Chair, was defeated 18-7 in the first UA "speaker" election, by wunderkind type G.J. Melendez-Torres (Chair of United Minorities Council and former Class Board rep). At the conclusion of the election, witnesses say Webley essentially freaked the fuck out and stormed out of the chambers (otherwise known as, probably Huntsman Hall but we like to imagine gavels and robes and the like). But, in true dramatic student government fashion, Webley stormed back in just after midnight, and rescinded his resignation.

And now they're all gonna work together nicely. Ah, government.
