Food Truck Watch: Korean Tacos And Banh Mi Are En Route
August 11, 2010 at 3:37 pm
Just days after the news of a new juice truck, there's word of another rad-sounding truck.
Chef Tyson Wong Ophaso brings us Bee-Innovation, a food truck serving healthy and affordable international dishes such as Vietnamese banh-mi sandwiches, a variety of curry rice bowls, and Korean tacos. Some may remember Ophaso from his previous venture at Chew Man Chu, the Center City pan-Asian restaurant that closed only a few months after opening. If it's any indication, the food there was awesome.
Although the truck is expected to open by Labor Day (September 6), there's no news yet on where it will be situated on campus. As for the odd choice of name, Chef Ophaso says that the truck was inhabited by bees while it sat unused for two years. But seriously, "Bee-Innovation"? Why not "We Bee Delicious"?
In any case, we can't wait to bee amazed (Did you catch that?) by Ophaso's offerings in the Fall!
