The long-heralded Meyerson basement lounge is finally taking shape -- though we think you can hardly call a dozen tables and folding chairs sitting on an island of ambiguously patterned carpet squares a lounge. The caution tape perimeter suggests that the hang out area isn't completely finished yet, but these archi-geeks didn't seem to care.

Also on the Meyerson news beat, the closing reception for the Design Philadelphia-affiliated Philly Works exhibition begins at 6 p.m. in the central gallery directly above the new "lounge."
