"Empty Bowls" Fundraiser Promises Lots Of Performances

And a bowl of soup! A fundraiser for the University City Hospitality Coalition, which feeds the homeless, is happening tonight at Penn's Newman Center. Five dollars at the door will buy you a bowl of soup and a seat to watch performances by such favorites as Excelano, Off the Beat, and West Philly Swingers, among many others. Each guest will receive one bowl of soup to see what it is like to go hungry for a night and all the proceeds will go toward UCHC.

All we want to know is, can we get some chicken noodle up in here?
