Night School Classes Open Thursday
January 11, 2011 at 7:16 pm
Hey, lazies! Trying to get into a night-school section of that pesky Sector requirement? Daytime Math 170 proving too difficult? You'll have to be a bit patient, because you can't register for any of those -601 classes until Thursday. College students are barred from registering until, you know, actual LPS students get their chance. Keep in mind, those legit LPS-ers can fill up a whole class, so you should probably start tripping any old people you see. Just in case.
Read the full email for extra details after the jump.
Dear All,Happy New Year and happy new semester! I know that many of you have been trying to get into classes with a 601 section number, the number that indicates that a course is offered through LPS, the College of Liberal and Professional Studies, and have been frustrated that you can't get in even though the system indicates that the class is open. College students are barred from registering for these courses until classes start, but this Thursday, LPS lifts the bar so that those of you who are aiming for one of these classes can sign up. If LPS students, who can enroll today, fill up the class you hope for, alas, you are out of luck and should start searching for something appealing during the day. (If the course starts tomorrow, go even if you can't enroll first.)
Proviso: LPS has let us know that they will not let College students into their first through fourth level foreign language courses or the science classes that are reserved for students in their post-bac program, so for these classes you need to look for day versions.
Peace
