The Oscars, Penn Edition
February 28, 2011 at 5:35 pm
Sure, the Oscars last night were a showcase of talent, creativity, and the top artistic genius across the film industry. But all of that pales in comparison to the main event of award season: our Penn edition. Join us as we highlight the films around campus we've had to suffer through all year. They made us laugh. They made us cry. They made us question reality. Without further ado, we present the winners in the following categories:
Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Music Video, Worst Video, Oldie But A Goodie and Best Overall Video.
To the results!
Best Actor: The Quaker in, It's Pizza Or The Penn Fund
Thanks to the S4TPF video, we carry our Allegro boxes in this.
Best Actress: Amy Gutmann in her "It Gets Better" spot
We love when homegirl gets her good cause on.
Worst Video: The Purple Gloves Thing
So much potential. So much fail.
Best Music Video: "Go Time" by Etan Fraser
It looks so professional! And fun! And sexaayy. You go, Etan.
Most Second-Hand Embarrassment: Penn's Stepping Up
We heard once someone watched this video without cringing. Just kidding!
Oldie But A Goodie: Legally Red

Ladies and gentlemen! Drumroll please! This season's Best Overall Video award goes to....
A tie between the Kweder videos. Duh. No contest.

This somber award goes to "We're Going Downtown." Gone, but never forgotten.
