Penn Reading Project: Let The Games Begin

PRP

The book that next year's freshmen will pretend to have read by the time NSO rolls around is Jane McGonagall's McGonigal's Reality Is Broken: Why Games Make Us Better and How They Can Change the World.

This mouthful is about how computer and video games have become a big deal in the lives of young people these days, and since the author is a 33-year-old gaming geek herself, she doesn't make us feel bad about that fact.

The DP provided some insight into the inner wheelings and dealings of the Penn Reading Project, and even quoted an incoming freshman who said something along the lines of, "Yeah whatever, this sounds nice and all, but when do I actually get to come to Penn"
