Alright, guys, this is it: the last week of school. Well, the last week of school with classes. How did this happen so quickly? What ever happened to this semester? What ever happened to our youth? What ever happened to...EVERYTHING?! While you're crying about this and the fact that you may be moving away from Penn for the summer, think about all the crazy stuff happening on campus this week!
Keds "How Do You Do?" Tour Who: Keds When and where: Tuesday, 2-6 p.m.; College Green Why: Keds is coming to Penn as part of their national "How Do You Do?" tour! You'll get to design your own shoes, listen to local bands and see artists paint a huge mural, because apparently that's how Keds do.
WTF, Penn: The Campus Teach-In Who: Penn students and faculty When and where: Tuesday, 4:30-7:30 p.m.; The Compass WTF: In an effort to gain more transparency about the decisions the university makes, students, professors and workers will engage in open dialogue about issues facing Penn, such as defense-related research occurring on campus and conditions of Penn's workers. Pretty neat! Check out the video here.
The Hip Girl's Guide to Homemaking Who: Penn Bookstore When and where: Wednesday, 6-7 p.m.; Penn Bookstore WTF: Kate Payne, author of The Hip Girl's Guide to Homemaking will be discussing her book on Wednesday. Homemaking? Hip? What? Whoever said homemaking wasn't hip? Just check out our best friend Martha Stewart.
Iraq's Ancient Past: Rediscovering Ur's Royal Cemetery Who: Penn Museum When and where: Saturday-Sunday, May 8; Penn Museum Why: Come to the Penn Museum for the reopening of this amazing exhibit! Your Penn card gets you free access, and the museum is only a short walk away, so you really don't have an excuse not to go. Other than finals. But, you know, studying is silly anyway.
