Locust Walk Is Getting All Torn Up This Summer

Locust-Walk-Renovation

According to the facilities website, "the 3600, 3800 and 3900 blocks of Locust Walk are undergoing renovations including  the replacement of underground utilities and the paved surface."

This affects us all summer and a bit into the fall because "the intensity of the work in a confined space requires that pedestrians be separated from the work area." They hope to have 3600 done before move-in, but expect 38th-39th trouble into the semester.

Solution? "For your own safety, please use the temporary walkways provided by the contractor." If you have real-life pictures of the construction, send them in!

Update: We've added the above tipster's picture and another one of the wooden walkway by Steiny-D after the jump. It looks similar to the one that cut behind the Wistar Institute last year.
