Because Every Monday Deserves Happy Hours
June 27, 2011 at 12:24 pm
Maybe we've just got a case of the Mondays, but we can't help thinking everyone could use a nice drink to wash away the weekend/get through this week/start the Fourth celebrations really, really early. Check out our picks across the nation:
West Philly: Because summer classes are heading into finals, it's cheap and why not: Biba happy hour from 4-6 p.m. $5 gets you a glass of "real wine, not that cheap, yucky stuff," so ditch the Franz get classy. They even have new outdoor seating!
Rittenhouse: Gardenia restaurant may not be on the normal Penn circuit, but with a pretty garden and a robust happy hour menu it's definitely worth a visit. $4 cocktails are as expensive as drinks go (beers are half that) and you can nibble on appetizers too.
New York City-- East Village: If you're not living the hectic banking style, you can start drinking anything at13th step half-price from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. But don't worry if you're working late: after 8 there's still $3.00 "you call it" mixed drinks, drafts, bottles, cans, and shots, making this a good place no matter how intense your job is.
Washington, D.C.--Dupont: Cafe Citron in Dupont Circle offers a great variety of specials, so no matter what you're in the mood for you can find it cheap from 4-7 p.m. Conveniently located near the Metro's south entrance, you won't want to miss a $9 bucket of beer or a $5 jalapeno margarita. There's even food!
San Francisco-- Mission: Three dollars will get you, well, pretty much anything at Blowfish Sushi. Come for the sake and specialty drinks, stay for the hand roll sushi, pot stickers or tempura.
