Sips, Sips, Sips-adelphia

Let's treat the July 4th holiday the good ol' fashioned Penn way: by starting the weekend pregame on Wednesday, of course! Center City Sips can be intimidating, so we're here to offer a way to narrow your choices and be as productive and efficient as possible.
If you want beer: Tavern 17 has a different draught selection daily, but if it's local, it's part of their Sips special. Ditch the Yuengling for a night and try something new. Other good options: Noble American Cookery and Fadó.
If you want cocktails: Alfa/Walnut room boasts something called a Chooooooch!, which is apparently apple and cranberry infused vodka, club soda and apple pucker but is also just an awesomely-named item.
If you want wine: Vintage Wine and Bistro is considered a must for winos bent on conquering Philly.
If you want to nosh cheaply, too: Wednesdays at La Castagne may be the only affordable way to consume their "Grilled crostini, Pulled pork sliders, Truffle sweet potato fries, Grilled flat bread, Assorted bruschetta, and Assorted Italian meats." Come for the sips, stay for the 15% off your dinner menu after 7 p.m.
If you want Philly homegrown-inspired items: Just read this Uwishunu post here.
