What Amy Really Thinks Of Us

In a web interview with The Washington Post, President Amy Gutmann sheds light on how she successfully rules with an iron fist. Get this: it's by not ruling with an iron fist. Instead, Gutmann stresses the importance of collaborative, interactive leadership over government by command and control.
She emphasizes the prevalence of collaboration in today's global environment, and notes that the Millennials (that's us!) are very much in touch with this notion. Amy describes us as "can-do kind of kids" who are not cynical and who really do believe that we can make a difference in the world around us by entertaining a diversity of opinions and backgrounds. But we're not at all modest or humble. BAM! All that ego-stroking, just to leave us with a blue-balled sense of importance.
