As a childless 27-year old single man, Wharton alum Ryan Comfort has naturally become a dedicated breastfeeding advocate. He founded Milk For Thought, an organization designed to "empower pregnant and breastfeeding moms" and offer "help, guidance, and support" to cultivate a healthy and informed breastfeeding journey for mothers and their babies.
Taking a cue from Student Health Services' sex toy fair, Mr. Comfort and Nursing professor Diane Spatz will sponsor a breastfeeding fair and rally at Penn next month. On August 3, Milk For Thought's "Latch On America" tour will hit Houston Hall, featuring lactation experts, pediatricians, and advocates. Spatz describes it as an "opportunity for local residents to become aware of all of the support and resources that are available" for new and expectant moms.
We wonder if it will feature live demonstrations of proper breastfeeding techniques.
