Get On This Jawn

If you (like us) looked at this title and were all, "wtaf is a jawn?" you're not alone. According to the most reliable source ever, "jawn" is a word created by Philadelphians to replace the name of any "thing" they can't remember. Examples of words jawn can replace: bar, store, song, your grandma's dead cat, genital warts, etc.

So why did you just spend 30 seconds reading about a word you'll probably never use? Because we love wasting your time! Just kidding. A new website, aptly titled TheJawn.com, could help you save time by listing restaurants, bars and all things jawn-y in the Philly area.

While reminiscent of Yelp or Urbanspoon, the site's only focus is on Philadelphia. So yes, the concept is young, but as time goes on, there will likely be more detailed descriptions, reviews and photographs on TheJawn than on any competing site. Also, they (temporarily) pay you for being active! And with NSO fast approaching,  an excel spreadsheet of potential BYOs within walking distance may not be such a bad idea.
