Professor Matt Blaze and a team of researchers at Penn recently discovered a major flaw in the radios of federal agents that are used all over the country. The Wall Street Journal reports that Blaze, an expert in cryptography, Powerpoint slideshows and fighting crime in Metropolis, found that toys as simple as the IM-me (pictured at right) could access the radios of FBI and Homeland Security agents, as well as state and local police.

To put it simply, the wireless standard operating system, P25, can let a hacker easily jam a transmission due to faulty indicators that can leave transmission unencrypted. Who knew?!  We didn't, so now we're all, "Wow! Science! Faulty indicators! Bleep bleep bloop!"

Check back later today after we shut down the Pentagon using our Tamagotchis.
