Penn Hosts Philly Orchestra

The Kimmel Center, where the Philadelphia Orchestra's opening night was scheduled to take place this coming Thursday, is still in negotiations with union workers since their contract expired last week. But the show must go on!
The Philly Orchestra has announced that it's moved venues and will now play its opening night right here on campus in that-joke-that's-gone-on-for-far-too-long, Irvine Auditorium. And because nothing says "welcome to the Penn bubble" like spending the whole night on campus, the performance will be followed by a gala at the Penn Museum. We suggest that the musicians take a peek at this video to ensure that they are properly attired.
