New Oyster Bar Opens Today

Put on your pearls and saunter down Sansom because Doc Magrogan's is opening today, joining New Deck, Baby Blues and White Dog off of 34th. Formerly occupied by La Terrasse, the new restaurant is designed to look like a Boston oyster bar from the early 1900s, so think Red Lobster but with waitresses in hoop skirts.  Good news, though: they have their own bar! Millcreek Mondays just became Magrogan's Mondays, except not really.

But what? You don't like OYSTERS? Wait until August 12th—that's the start of Shark Week, in case you didn't know, which you probably didn't know, because Shark Week? Do people still watch that? You do? Okay. (We do too.) Anyway, Magrogan's is having an event of some sort on that day that's important enough to warrant a countdown on the website. We can only guess what they'll be serving, but we're hoping it's not the Schuylkill catch of the day.
