While you were out this weekend framing your taps for the Friars, Sphinx and Mortarboard smokers and then heading to the Owls brunch, we were sipping wine coolers over reruns of "Reba" and redeeming our scratch-off lottery ticket winnings because that's what pays the bills these days. Peep the PMA's exhition "Shipwreck!," which centers around Homer's iconic American painting, The Life Line. (And psssst...you know how to get into the museum for free, don't you? Exercise those student rights.)

HarBar Opening Who: Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar HarBar When and where: Wednesday; 40th and Walnut Why: Like the drunken phoenix rising from the flames, MarBar has been reborn as HarBar, and if that gaudy fountain in front of the new 40th street digs tells us anything, it's that HarBar is Penn's newest SABS spot.

Excursus III: Ooga Booga Opening Program Who: Institute of Contemporary Art When and where: Wednesday, 6:30; Institute of Contemporary Art (36th and Sansom) Why: You wanna be cool, don't you? You do. Well, come to the ICA, young grasshopper, and allow the mysteries of cool to be imprinted on your tender, fragile mind. The ICA's Excurses series is back with another evening of art, guest speakers, performances and music. And it's free!

XPN Welcomes David Byrne and St. Vincent Who: WXPN When and where: Thursday, 8 p.m.; Tower Theatre (69th and Ludlow) Why: You'd pay good money to see Talking Heads legend David Byrne. You'd probably sell your mother to see St. Vincent's Annie Clark. But for only $50-80, you can see them BOTH TOGETHER 4EVER this Thursday night as they perform a selection of their greatest hits from their recent collaboration album.
