Bye-Bye Blackboard

It's 11:57 p.m.: you've got three minutes until your writing seminar portfolio is due. As you upload your work to Blackboard, you just can't help yourself. However, just as you're deleting your notes about justificatory reasoning, panic sets in - Blackboard has crashed.
Blackboard struggles seem to have become more of a rite of passage for Penn students than a nuisance. Still, we have a feeling you'll welcome the following news. According to this DP article, the entire University will have made its peace with Blackboard by the summer of 2014. After testing the learning management system Canvas in Wharton, the Law School, and the Graduate School of Education, Penn decided to make the switch. Professors can even begin implementing the new system this coming school year.
While we know that any news relating to the impending fall semester is downright depressing, consider the fact that maybe this purge will extend to include Penn News Today emails. Here's hoping.
