Smak Brings The Racks

You know the deal: it's the Friday before Halloweekend, and the line you're forced to wait in at American Apparel for that neon orange fanny pack is nearing Pottruck. You would go to Urban, but they don't carry nearly enough spandex to satisfy the needs of you and your sorority betches. Frustrated, you come to the upsetting realization that, although Penn's campus may be well-stocked in the food department, it's really lacking in the clothing department.
Enter Abby Kessler and Katie Lubieski. The besties and business partners recently turned onto 40th Street between Spruce and Walnut and (literally) set up shop. The Smak Parlour Fashion Truck is believed to be the first of its kind in Philly, offering clothing, accessories, and even air conditioning - all on wheels. With its graphic exterior and edgy interior, the Fashion Truck is certainly making an impression.
So check out the food truck's cousin while you still have the time, or if you're really brave, head on over to the flagship store on 2nd and Market Streets - because a city does exist past 30th Street, and as Kessler and Lubieski are proving, it's a pretty fashionable one.
