The Great Hoodie/Mike Stud [Internet] Brawl Of 2014 Draws To A Close

Despite some hurt feelings, it's important to put things like this in perspective. Did this conflict ever have the potential to become the next great hip-hop feud? Absolutely not. Would it have really ever happened without the presence of Twitter? Literally no. A physical confrontation between the artists could have been interesting, but nothing like that seems to have gone down. Regardless, it's summer, the whole shebang was kind of funny to virtually behold, and it concerns a former Quaker pal of ours, so read on after the jump, and maybe you'll learn a li'l something.
So it really all started when Hoodie released a new song last Wednesday, "Nolan Ryan," in which he "disses" both Mike Stud and RiFF RAFF. The jabs might not have seemed that aggressive to the casual listener, but Mike Stud and RiFF RAFF were pretty upset, and both took to Twitter in hilarious fashions. Unfortunately, many of RiFF RAFF's tweets have now been deleted, but he's worth a follow if he regularly lays down absurd proclamations like this. At the time, it all seemed pretty low-key between the three; Hoodie even tweeted humorlessly after inexplicably being referred to as a "Best Buy employee."
Then a couple of days later, Mike Stud released the track "0 To 100 (Remix)," which he used as an opportunity to transform one quasi-insulting lyric into a clash of the [frat rap] titans. Hoodie in turn, acting as the the well-educated, young gentleman that he is, retaliated later that day with "Little League," a song that is something of a stream of personal attacks against Mike Stud.
All in all, Mike Stud probably went too far, and then Hoodie REALLY went too far (seriously, listen to the lyrics -- they're a lot). After some back-and-forth action on Twitter that day, however, it almost seemed as though the conflict could be resolved, if not forgotten about. But nah, because two days ago Mike Stud released "Even Steven," (LOL get it? 'Cause Hoodie's real name is Steven), as well as an emotionally charged account of his thoughts on the matter. Hoodie has yet to respond to either, but those of us with nothing better to do have our fingers crossed. It's hard to say whether or not any of this matters, but it's always entertaining when the world gets to watch America's best and brightest absurdly insult one another over the internet.
