DP Time Machine: History Through Ads, Volume II

dp_time_maching

Welcome back to our second installment of the past. In the first, we conjured up some old school advertisements from '69, '85 and '94.

This time, we dove into the DP archives to bring you the best ads from 1977. Do things change? Or, do they stay creepily the same?

Sorry honey, but we'd have to give this a "yes." Perhaps you should give Jeff a call and opt-in to a Penn classic, the "casual relationship." Side-note: We are thrilled to find the precursor to the pen that makes our heart flutter, Bic for Her.

Where do we begin? The fact that a frat advertised a party in the DP? That "btw" clearly stands for between? The always seductive question mark end time? If this party only happened 37 years later you'd bet we'd be there.

There were once enough married student couples for this ad to be relevant.

The original Urban showing off some chic full-body nylon. Least shocking: actual clothing item. Most shocking: $10 price tag.

"Porno movies may be fun to watch and an easy way to get aroused, but have you ever been aroused by eating an egg-mit-bagel..." We'll just let this one speak for itself.
