Flyerer of the Week: Penn Six Edition
December 5, 2014 at 2:42 pm
No one is ever too old for a little toilet humor, which is why this week we caught up with a couple of funny guys from Pennsylvania Six-5000 flyering for their upcoming show A Bowl ‘a Sh*ts n’ Giggles.
However, these two young men insisted on using their stage names (we assume for the purpose of shaking the paparazzi), so they will simply be addressed as Roobin- (with a silent hyphen) and Wrickulz. Certified experts in Jack Bauer, whispering, and her royal highness Amy Gutmann, if their interview skills are any indicator, these guys are sure to serve up QUITE the show this weekend.
So tell me about what you guys are flyering for.
Wrickulz: We’re flyering for the Penn Six fall show. It’s this Friday and Saturday. It’s an all male comedy A cappella show. We sing songs. We sing parodies. We make jokes. It’s a great time.
If you could have any historical figure flyer for you, who would you pick?
Roobin-: Amy Gutmann
Is she a historical figure?
Wrickulz: I would say so. In Penn’s history, in the world’s history, she goes down as a pretty phenomenal human being. We know she’s good at getting things that she wants. I think she could get things done for us.
Tell us the main reason people should come to your show.
Wrickulz: Well, to put it in the words of my favorite person in the universe, Jack Bauer “You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll laugh so hard, you’ll probably die.”
Have you had any particularly interesting experiences flyering?
Roobin-: I told one person we were the Penn Six whispering club, and she asked me why I was whispering.
That’s pretty good. So to sum it all up, how would you describe your show in three words?
Roobin-: Karate. Fun. Music.
