Oh Shit, Franzia Actually Is Poisonous

Sadly the caveat that "you can't always get what you want" still rings true. And in this case, what we wanted was the ability to get drunk while not spending more than $13 while also not being poisoned by dangerously high levels of arsenic. Unfortunately this idyllic reality was shattered earlier this week when a class-action lawsuit was filed against several California winemakers who seem to want to poison college kids everywhere. 

Although not ALL flavors of Franz and other similarly priced wines are toxic to humans (Sunset Blush is thus far still safe), it's definitely rattling to consider that slapping the bag might have more dangerous consequences than a nasty hangover. If only we could continue to live under the happy, drunken illusion that Franzia might not kill us in the end, but alas, nothing gold can stay.
