The Mystery of the Mummy Mobile

You might have seen a certain sleek, vermillion and ebony motor vehicle on campus before and wondered what exactly it was doing. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It's the Penn Museum Mummy Mobile! And what is that, you ask? We have no idea either.
Are the Penn Museum staff so desperate to get students to come back post-toga party that they’re offering to pick us up from the comfort of our own homes? Is the Mummy Mobile in fact the primary form of transportation for a gang of four mummies and their talking canine pal as they solve mysteries through a series of antics and mishaps? Is it just a really shady van disguised as a less shady van?
According to the DP, the Mummy Mobile actually transports replicas of mummy artifacts from the museum to middle schools in the Philadelphia area as part of an educational program called “Unpacking the Past,” but we’re not entirely convinced. Maybe we can manage to hitch a ride to anthro tomorrow morning?
