“Since when have you had a startup?” Jessica asks.

To ease the tension in the air, Brad chimes in, “So, uhhh…tell me about your startup.” 

You happily oblige, but get so caught up in the excitement of telling them about your plan to disrupt the fingerless glove market that you don’t realize that they’re both bored to death. As soon as you pause to take a breath, they excuse themselves from the conversation to use the bathroom but instead make a run for an exit. They call an Uber and fuck at Jessica’s apartment while you’re still waiting by the poolside, sipping a giant margherita all by yourself.
