Our Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
To Our Former Guest(s),
At Bobby’s Burger Palace, we took pride in being part of the most memorable moments of your life. We relished being your friend, your third favorite burger joint near the Penn campus, and your hangover cure. We’ve been through a lot together, so there is nothing more important to us than your safety and well-being. With Coronavirus (COVID-19) as a growing problem, I, Bobby, want to take a moment to personally update you on the steps we are taking at the now-empty Bobby’s Burger Palace to ensure your health and safety during these difficult times.
To help protect our restaurant against COVID-19, we have appointed an internal global task force dedicated exclusively to COVID-19. This team is comprised of leaders from all sectors of our business (grill, condiments, bagging, and management), and they are working to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by eliminating conversation (in-person or virtual) entirely. I am extremely proud and grateful to the members of this task force for their commitment to Bobby’s Burger Palace.
While we recognize that our establishment is closed, because of your lack of support, we want to assure you that we are still here for you. We have taken initiatives such as practicing extreme social distancing from the rest of the community, requiring crew members to stay home permanently, and canceling all franchisee and employee meetings*.
My heart goes out to all who have been impacted by the virus, and I want to personally thank our employees and restaurant team members for their commitment to our guests and each other through their brave decision to not come into work. Like, ever.
As the dynamics surrounding COVID-19 continue to change, what won't change is our promise to do everything we can to help ensure the health and safety of everyone who has ever been involved with Bobby’s Burger Palace, Jeff Phillips, Saranya Edwards, and Jamal Williams. As we have during other challenging global events (e.g., our closure), we’ll work tirelessly to persevere through this admittedly lesser one together.
Stay safe out there!
Your friend,
Bobby Flay
