Babe, Come Over! Let's Set Up My Blu-Ray Player and Watch Ramona and Beezus

This past Valentine’s Day, I got it all: flowers, chocolates, sweet notes. But something important was still missing.

I’m an old soul. When I asked myself what the gaping hole in my heart needed in order to be filled, the only answer was 2010 family classic, Ramona and Beezus. 

I love my boyfriend but nothing trumps the love of two sisters. He couldn’t really understand but he still tried to give me what I wanted. Alas, he thought renting the movie on his laptop would accomplish this.

“You don’t understand,” I said. “I can’t fully heal my inner child through a digital rental!” I had to watch Ramona and Beezus as I had watched it before.

So my boyfriend came over with a beautiful Blu-Ray player he found on Facebook Marketplace and hooked it up to my TV. I brought Ramona and Beezus. I could never trust him with something so precious. 

It was everything. We laughed when Ramona ruined her picture day portrait. We cried when the girls’ cat, Picky-Picky, passed away. Of course, we watched the special behind-the-scenes features. 

I finally felt complete.
