What's HapPENNing is Under the Button's newest feature in which we showcase the good, the bad and (mostly) the fugly of what's going on during the upcoming week at Penn. This post has been brought to you by events@penn and the wild and crazy student groups on campus.
It's a new day and a new week! Now that we've put the fecal matter and snow phallus behind us, it's time to see what exciting events the next seven days have in store for us.
Ben Franklin's Bar Mitzvah Who: The Freshmensches When and where: Thursday, 8-10 p.m.; ARCH auditorium WTF: Isn't Ben already, like, kinda old? Like, really old? I mean, we'll come because we love middle school dances, but do we have to bring a present?
Solistimum II: Steampunk Disco Who: Philomathean Society When and where: Thursday, 9-11:30 p.m.; College Hall 4th floor WTF: So...it's a disco. But it's steampunk-themed? Ok, sure. We'll have whatever the Philos drank when they came up with this idea. Also, what was Solistimum I? So many questions.
SPEC Art Gallery: First Friday Who: SPEC When and where: Friday, 5:30-7:15 p.m.; meet at 34th Market Street Blue Line Subway at 5:30 Why: It's a free private tour of the Painted Bride Art Center! Check out the link above for registration details.
ASB Presents: Disney on Ice Who: Alternative Spring Break When and where: Saturday, 10:30 p.m.-1 a.m.; Class of 1923 Rink WTF: Penn's ASB is a great program, but we haven't seen "Disney on Ice" since we chugged Go-Gurts and had Rocket Power marathons. But wait...we still do that.
Haven't had your fill of awesome/bizarro/questionable events? Check back next week for more Penn thrills!
